Small changes = huge difference
- The average American household dumps 26,000 pounds of carbon dioxide into the air every year. Replacing just six incandescent bulbs in your house will cut your yearly carbon emissions by 600 pounds.
- If every American skipped one meal of chicken a week and ate vegetarian instead, the carbon dioxide savings would be the same as taking more than half a million cars off of U.S. roads.
Prizes!
At the end of the campaign, five lucky teens who took action to green their homes and showed our prez how to green his, will be highlighted on the Do Something homepage for thousands to see and snag an eco-friendly DS tote packed with CDs, DVDs, and an iPod shuffle! Contest Rules...
