Staples in Milton to collect school supplies

The Fulton Education Foundation is partnering with Staples and the Do Something 101 campaign to inspire teens and the community to collect school supplies for underserved students.

The Staples store located in the Deerfield Place Shopping Center in Milton is Fulton County's partnering location. Donated school supplies are being accepted until Sept. 19 and customers also can participate by contributing $1 at the store. The foundation will receive a Staples gift card based on the amount of funds raised and supplies will be distributed throughout Fulton County by school social workers.

Those wanting to make a donation of school supplies or a monetary contribution should visit the Staples location in Milton (13071 Highway 9 North) to ensure it is distributed to a Fulton County student. Other metro Atlanta locations participating in Do Something 101 may be designating their donations to another school system.

DoSomething.org, which co-sponsors the campaign, is a not-for-profit organization focused on empowering teens to convert their energy and ideas into positive action. Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ciara is the campaign's national spokesperson.
