LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- 'Tis the season for giving - and Lady Gaga knows that best. The Grammy-award winning singer earned the number one spot on DoSomething.org's list of the "Top 20 Celebs Gone Good" in 2010.
Lady Gaga broke into the political sphere this year with her support of gay rights and call for the repeal of "Don't Ask Don't Tell." She also hosted the "Hands Up For Marriage Equality Event" and modeled for MAC Viva Glam, donating all the proceeds to HIV/AIDS prevention.
Many celebrities lent a helping hand this year to a number of important issues, and Do Something's list highlighted celebrities' off-camera work around the world.
Gaga's fellow songstresses Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift, took the second and third spots on the list, respectively. Alicia worked with her organization, Keep a Child Alive, to continue providing AIDS treatments for people around the world, and Taylor supported the relief effort for the Nashville flooding by donating half a million dollars.
