The 2011 Do Something! Awards — honoring the commitment to social change by young people and issues raised through television and other media — aired last night on VH1 and Warner Horizon Television and Warner Bros. Television were both recognized as follows:

Warner Horizon Television’s Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew was honored in the category of Reality TV Show, for an episode in which past champions returned and danced for the charity of their choice.

Warner Bros. Television’s Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill was honored in the Twitter category, for her use of Twitter to promote and encourage environmental activism.

Dosomething.org and VH1 partner to present the Do Something! Awards to honor young people’s commitment to social change. This award also recognizes the various media including television as well as individuals in the entertainment world that support worthy causes that affect positive change.
