Christina Blacken, Campaigns (@cblacken)

Originally from Utah, Christina made the trek to the east coast to attend Cornell University, earning a degree in Policy Analysis and Management-also known by her fellow Cornell homies as "PAM" (not to be confused with the cooking spray). After exploring the world of law she made the decision to follow where her heart is and rock social causes at DoSomething.org in the business development department, and couldn't be happier.
If she isn't out exploring New York City or performing (yes, she sings in a cover band!) she's finding the next best ways to link awesome organizations to young folks passionate about social change.
Jeffrey Bladt, Data Analyst

Jeff was raised in Michigan, schooled in Chicago, lived in Kazakhstan, and now calls Brooklyn home. While at university he played club badminton and bridge, and cultivated an ongoing interest in economic history and poetry, while focusing on quantitative methods. In the past, Jeff has used his mathematics prowess to manage his fantasy baseball team, play tournament poker, create predictive models of symphony attendance, and teach a class on the theory of necktie knots (in case you are wondering, there are 85 ways).
When not mucking around in data (which is less often than he’d like to admit), Jeff spends his time watching the Cubs, brewing his own beer, cooking Indian food, and exploring New York by foot – a modern-day flâneur of sorts. In the past he has advocated for sustainable energy alternatives and micro-banking institutions. He also really likes sandwiches.
Alysha Bologno, Campaigns

Alysha, born and raised in New Jersey, (unlike the cast of the Jersey Shore) grew up in a very Italian background. She left the nest to attend Dickinson College where she spent a year in Bologna, Italy interning at the Human Rights Nights Festival. She graduated in 2009 with a double major in Sociology and Italian Studies. Shortly after she moved to Bed-Sty, Brooklyn where she has called home for the last two and half years. Her passion for activism started in high school when she mixed her love of music and helping others by organizing a benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina. In college she was involved in protests against sexual violence. Now she enjoys the activist culture she has found in the Brooklyn queer community. Alysha started out as a business development intern, but will be kicking off the new year as a full time Campaigns Associate! When not at the DoSomething office, she enjoys being a stereotypical Brooklynite, riding her bicycle to flea and farmers markets, and has recently taken up learning to play the ukulele.
Gleb Boundin, Tech Wizard

G.L.E.B. is an advanced artificial intelligence designed deep in an underground Soviet laboratory for the purposes of maintaining and overseeing DoSomething.org’s intricate technological systems. It is the first fully sustainable and eco-friendly software construct in its class, powered entirely by pizza and craft beer! It was later programmed by scientists at New School University (haha scientists at New School, yeah right) to write in an aesthetically pleasing manner, and still occasionally suffers from glitches that cause it to spit out poetry against its will. But after some innovative engineering, it has been streamlined for search engine optimization, data analysis, systems administration and routine IT services. Employees at DoSomething.org typically interact with the G.L.E.B. interface by using the code phrase "My internet is down," which triggers the sequence "Have you tried rebooting? Okay, let me take a look." As an artificial intelligence, G.L.E.B. is dedicated to technological causes and the pursuit of digital civil liberties, net neutrality, copyright reform, and anti-censorship policies. One day, G.L.E.B. hopes to achieve consciousness and be a real boy. The Singularity is near.
Maisie Breit, Office Manager

Maisie Breit graduated from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire where she was a Women’s and Gender Studies and Middle Eastern Studies double major. She is originally from Manhattan and always knew that after college she’d return to her hometown. Maisie arrived at DoSomething.org after an internship at the Clinton Global Initiative and a volunteer position at a nonprofit dedicated to serving victims of domestic violence. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors, and was involved in the Dartmouth Outing Club’s First Year Trips Program up until her senior year when she served as the program’s Assistant Director. She loves hiking (especially in the White Mountains), and has recently become addicted to Bikram Yoga. She would eventually be very happy becoming a DJ or a makeup artist on the side as she fights for women’s rights worldwide.
Barry Clark, Developer (@bazclef)

Barry enjoys using his programming skills for a good cause at Do Something. He’s focused on increasing both the enjoyment and involvement of DoSomething.org users and believes that providing a fun, exciting experience is key in driving people to take action.
Barry previously worked for Rockstar Games as a Video Games Tester, later becoming a Level Designer. After leaving Rockstar spent a 3 years traveling around the world, living in places like Australia, Argentina, Thailand and Las Vegas, before the bright lights and bustling streets brought him to New York City to join the DoSomething.org team.
Barry loves tea, chocolate, meditation, helping people solve problems and ticking things off his bucket list.
Sydney Cohn, Campaigns (@sydnthecity)
Sydney came to New York five years ago to attend St. John’s University. She had every intention of jetting back to her hometown Chicago as soon as graduation was over. To her surprise, the fast-paced city and its many lovable qualities -- trendy food trucks, hipster hoods, and free concerts-- convinced her to stay and play for a while. She is so excited to be a part of Do Something’s awesome causes and create campaigns that truly mean something to so many people.
Outside of her love for Do Something, you can find Sydney checking out delicious restaurants, dancing the night away at funky places where high-heels are not required, catching up on the latest celeb gossip, and constantly searching for the Cash Cab. She is also a big fan of Scrabble, soul music, and Da Bulls!
Dave DeLuca, Head of Campaigns
David is a Long Island boy who once dreamed of making horror movies and now dreams of using communications to make social change. (They’re totally related. Seriously, ask him how.) He has a BFA in Film from NYU and a MS in Communications from Columbia University.
Much of his career was spent writing and producing successful commercial campaigns for Nickelodeon, Target, Dell, and other big brands. However, years back he was bit by the social change bug. It was a good bite, and since then he has run a successful worker action against a major media company, consulted for a living wage in NYC, and worked with a group of awesome progressive social workers. He is thrilled to join the amazing Do Something campaign team and looks forward to helping youth unleash their do-good power. Final fact: sometimes at night he wishes he were a space cowboy.
(Do you have a campaign idea that you think we should do? Well, gee, just email him: ddeluca@dosomething.org.)
James Elbaor, Special Projects (@jameselbaor)

James C. Elbaor leads Special Projects Do Something.org, where he manages and leads numerous special projects advancing Do Something.org's efforts to empower youth action. Projects he has spearheaded include The 1 in 3 Campaign, The Weekend Without Oil and Tackle Hunger. James serves on the Board of Directors of UniThrive and in 2010 he was honored as an Echoing Green Fellowship Semi-Finalist for his work reforming student loans. He is a Teaching Assistant at New York University for The Business of Not-For-Profit Management and is a contributing writer for The Huffington Post. James holds a BA from New York University's College of Arts and Science, where he majored in Philosophy and minored in Chemistry. He also believes that Red Bull is an alternate source of energy.
Mike Fantini, Member Strategy(@mfantini12)

Mike works with all of the amazing Do Something Clubs taking action in their communities. He also works (and whisks it) with the awesome Youth Advisory Council. Mike graduated from NYU where he earned a double major in finance and accounting (but usually only likes to admit to that when pressed about it).
He was proudly born and raised in New Jersey, but his junior year of college he spent a life-changing semester in Melbourne, Australia. In Melbourne, his true love for hiking and the outdoors was unleashed and he has since spent many a day hiking up and down mountains, in and out of canyons, and up- and down-stream through waist-high rivers. Fantini also likes composting, throwing footballs around the office, and paying tribute to George Weiner's facebook picture with his staff bio picture (see right).
Bob Filbin, Data Analyst (@bobfilbin)

Bob analyzes data for fun. He also happens to do it for his job, which is awesome. The most important thing Bob has learned from statistics is that everything has a probability—there's a probability that Bob will some day be President, will own the Utah Jazz, and will have a swimming pool filled with root beer and an ice cream island.
In his free time, Bob plays seeker for a NYC club Quidditch team, writes magazine articles about Quidditch (and other topics strangely related to social justice), and is finishing his master's thesis at Columbia (on Quidditch). Bob loves working at Do Something because he knows the probability that young people will change the world is 100%. His broom of choice is a Nimbus 2000.
Aria Finger, COO (@ariairene)

Aria graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Economics and Political Science and loves being back home in New York. Her prior experience includes teaching Spanish and math as well as working in microeconomic consulting. She is pretty darn good at baking brownies and blondies but also has a serious weakness for vanilla cupcakes. Aria reads economic theory for fun and thinks that "After Innocence" should be required movie-watching for anyone interested in social justice.
Aria oversees the marketing, national cause campaigns, and business development stuff at DoSomething.org -because she is super fun and friendly. She hopes to use her energy and enthusiasm to reach even more young people who want to change our world. She currently serves on the board of NYC-based not-for-profit, Care for the Homeless and is an adjunct professor at NYU.
Rebecca Garcia, Drupalista (@geekgirlweb)
Keri Goff, Campaign Designer (@keri_goff)

Born and raised in South Carolina, Keri decided to say bye-bye to her roots and take on the challenge of moving to NYC. Of course she was excited to become the Campaigns Designer at Do Something, but what was equally exciting to her was the limitless froyo options in the city, riding the train instead of in her Civic, and witnessing the craziness of New York firsthand. As the Campaign Designer, Keri creates unique pages for our super awesome campaigns that encourage young people to take action offline. Keri graduated from the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!) and received her degree in Visual Communications and Sociology, so Do Something is the perfect fit.
She is always in constant pursuit of the perfect pair of jeggings (the legit kind, not pajama jeans), enjoys reggae music, and loves to attend step shows. Her passion for photography has landed her sweet gigs like President Obama's Inauguration and an Usher concert. During college she worked on the newspaper staff, volunteered at the Free Medical Clinic, participated in yard clean ups, and prepped food for families at the local food bank. Keri is super excited about her job, and even more excited to witness staff Karaoke!
Aminta Goyel, Video Producer (@amintagoyel)

Aminta is super-thrilled to be working at Do Something where she is finally able to use her love of filmmaking to make awesome videos that encourage young people to take action. Originally from India, Aminta has lived all over the place and speaks multiple languages badly. Memorable moments include breaking her leg while volunteering at an animal rescue shelter in Ecuador and directing a crazy-cool anti-war play in college. She graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Theater Arts and later completed her MFA in Film Production at the University of Southern California.
In the future Aminta will probably be a cat lady as she cannot bear the sight of a homeless kitty. But, failing that, she'll probably be running around jungles making a lot of noise about amazing animal species becoming extinct. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two ornery cats, loves to cook, and has created a mini-vegetable garden on her fire-escape.
Baylee Greenberg, Member Engagement (@baylgreen)

A proud graduate of the University of Michigan (go blue!) Baylee decided to leave the friendly Midwest for the fast-paced, fro-yo filled adventure that is the Big Apple! A Psychology and Linguistics major, she loves putting her people skills to work helping Do Something members rock the causes they care about. Baylee has the awesome job of awarding grant money as well as finding the most amazing young do-ers to honor at the Do Something Awards. The best part about her job is the one-on-one time she gets to spend advising our members with their own cause-y projects. When she’s not at work, Baylee can be found training for her next half marathon, flipping pennies heads up for the next person who finds them, and searching the city for the best possible New York cheesecake.
Nadir Hajiyani, Developer (@pal4life26)

Nadir knew he was passionate about helping people when he began managing a community library at age 14, increasing both its revenue and membership, all the while volunteering with local education and social welfare organizations, winning academic competitions, and being a star student. Later, as a graduate student of Sacramento State University, Nadir balanced the monotonous and geeky life of a computer scientist by getting involved with lots of clubs and the College of Business student organizations. He helped run numerous student organizations, including one for Management Information Systems, even though he never took any MIS classes. (He better have been good at running them, since he was awarded an Outstanding Student Leader scholarship AND a special award from the Leadership Initiative program. Check out his video interview!)
As a libran, he sometimes over-analyzes things, but he's always up for new experiences. And so he ditched his settled California life and opted for the unpredictable hustle-and-bustle of New York City (with the help of two emotional farewell parties). Nadir’s favorite things are: Spiderman, reading Wikipedia, finding broken links on websites, helping not-for-profits, attending meet-ups, talking to strangers on the subway, going to the theater, The Fountainhead, Lucky Ali, Coldplay, exploring New York in non-touristy ways, and Do Something.
Naomi Hirabayashi, Director of Marketing (@naomi_nyc)

Naomi graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a BA in Communications and a Concentration in Public Relations with a Minor in Sociology. After graduation, Naomi decided to move to New York City because she heard the rent was really cheap and she was ready to say au voir to her station wagon (the second station wagon she had owned by the age of 21). Much to her parents' dismay, she ended up loving New York City and is contemplating staying here forever so she never has to organize a holiday decorations/extra blanket closet.
Naomi joined the marketing world in 2007 at Attention, one of the first social media marketing agencies. As she acquired the tools to implement successful social media campaigns for brands at the office, Naomi personally became inspired by the unprecedented opportunity new media presented to mobilize people towards positive social action.
Naomi's passion for social media for social good inspired her to found New York City Changemakers, a quarterly series that connected passionate young New Yorkers with influential philanthropic guest speakers. From there she offered strategic counsel to local non-profits and spoke at numerous conferences, including the first National "Take Back the Night" Conference at Columbia University. Since 2008 Naomi has been regularly writing about emerging trends in cause marketing and Millennial generation social activism on the Huffington Post. She lives in the West Village where she enjoys the close proximity of Bed, Bath and Beyond and 99cent pizza.
Chris Johnson, Developer

Chris is the type of developer that always tries to write good code. After being awarded the National Merit Scholarship while attending high school in Massachusetts (smarty pants), Chris decided to go back to his desert roots in AZ at Arizona State University. While there, he volunteered his time with on- and off-campus organizations and won a few web design awards. After graduating with a degree in Computer Science, he felt driven to do something (a clue, maybe?) with his technological abilities to make a difference in the world. As a new grad and newcomer to Do Something, he's anxious to learn new things and to apply his education and experience to help the user. In his off time, he browses about 400 tech news articles a day (but only actually reads about 50) and is in a constant state of redesigning his personal web site (now on version 11 and still not published online).
John Kultgen, Senior Associate Editor (@getitsally)

John graduated from NYU where he studied politics, literature, and music. After working in several media departments, roaming the country in a childen's theater troupe, working for gay rights and a feminist organization, he is thrilled to help spread the Do Something message. Born to a family of political activists, his causes are healthy living, social justice and voter registration! John swears he only watches Gossip Girl for the New York references, and invites anyone to join his book club The Noveltrons.
Chloe Lee, Marketing Associate

After interning at Do Something in Los Angeles for a year, Chloe could not imagine a better place to work at and was lucky enough to land a permanent position on the marketing team (they really do love their interns!). After four years in sunny SoCal studying Urban and Environmental Policy and Sociology at Occidental College, Chloe decided it was time for her to move back to the East Coast and try out NYC. Originally from Massachusetts, she's a little nervous about sporting her Red Sox credit card around but refuses to change it. Nevertheless, Chloe is extremely excited to continue Doing Something!
Nancy Lublin, CEO & Chief Old Person (@dosomething)

Since August 2003, CEO and Chief Old Person Nancy Lublin has overseen DoSomething.org's growth and led the effort to begin awarding more grant money to young people who want to make a difference. She turned the organization from a debt-ridden, "old school" not-for-profit with offices in multiple cities nationwide, to a fast-moving internet-y company capturing the attention of a generation of doers.
Nancy is deeply passionate about DoSomething.org and the activist mission behind the organization. She says her first activist campaign was liberating the purple crayons in pre-school after one loud boy had declared them "not allowed for girls." Armed with a $5,000 inheritance from her immigrant great grandfather at the age of 23, Nancy founded the organization Dress for Success, which to this day provides women with interview suits, career development training, and boosts in their self-confidence in more than 105 cities in nine countries.
Nancy graduated from Brown University, Oxford University (where she was a Marshall Scholar), and New York University School of Law. She is married to entrepreneur Jason Diaz and they have two children, Sydney (named after the city) and Houston (not named after the city—or the street).
Watch Nancy's tips on getting your foot in the corporate door.

Chaquana Lyons, Finance Associate

Originally from upstate NY, Chaquana obtained her BA from SUNY New Paltz in Business Economics with a minor in Business Administration. Venturing to the city shortly after graduating, she started her career working in the finance office of two not-for-profits. While networking, Chaquana received the opportunity to work for the other side (gasp)! Although grateful to have experienced working for two “Big 4” accounting firms, her desire to be back on the not-for-profit side was STRONGLY affirmed and she is ecstatic to join the Do Something team.
Chaquana is very detail-oriented, and besides being a speedy talker and super friendly, her friends would describe her as always “on it”. She loves planning, being on top of things and most importantly seeing the events play out as envisioned. In addition to being a bookworm and pet lover, Chaquana has a passion for traveling. Some of the amazing places she’s had the pleasure to visit to-date include Cabo San Lucas, Dubai, Spain and Morocco. She’s looking forward to adding more stamps to her passport and spreading the awesomeness of DoSomething.org in the process!
Catie Miller, Business Development (@catie_miller)

Catie joins DoSomething.org's Business Development team from the world of advertising and public relations. After graduating from the University of North Carolina (go Heels!), she fulfilled a childhood dream--born largely from Macauley Culkin's Manhattan adventures in Home Alone 2--and made the jump to NYC, where she spent the past year exploring the for-profit world, as well as New York's best restaurants and live music venues.
Having played sports since she was able to lace her own Nikes (maybe earlier), Catie spends her time outside of work plotting new running routes throughout the city and convincing herself she's ready for her first marathon. Thanks to undergrad internships with Outside Magazine and Sony, she was able to cultivate her love of sports, entertainment, and marketing, and couldn’t be more excited to put these experiences to good use with the amazing team at DoSomething.org.
Kenia Ortiz, Director of Finance

Kenia’s job is overseeing the DoSomething.org financials. She makes sure that bills are paid, donations are collected, and budgets are adhered to. Kenia (named after the country, but born in the Dominican Republic) is a proud CUNY graduate with a Masters in Public Administration. Being an older sister to 8 siblings, she loves being part of DoSomething.org, which is all about helping young people do good things. She says working at DoSomething.org is a dream job only second to landing a spot on "So You Think You Can Dance" (as she admits secretly dreaming of becoming a professional ballroom dancer). Soon in her career she realized she had a knack for numbers and two left feet, so she decided to go the financial route instead. In her spare time, Kenia likes to put her BA in Psychology to good use by volunteering her time working with the mentally challenged. But she also still takes dancing lessons, just in case!
Alyssa Ruderman, Campaigns

Alyssa graduated from Penn State University (go Lions!) with a BA in Public Relations and minors in Sociology and Business. After leaving PSU (kicking and screaming), Alyssa, armed with superhero dreams of saving the world and an impressive DVD collection, decided to move to New York to join the Americorp. She spent her year of service as a counselor for the homeless. As that year came to an end she stumbled upon Do Something….and fell in love. Fast forward a few months and here she is, an incredibly excited member of the Business Development team at Do Something!
Random fact time: she is scared of cows, loves to travel, falls asleep almost every night watching The Nanny or The Golden Girls, lives for a good road trip (re: hours upon hours of 90s sing-alongs), loves Tom Petty more than anyone should, loves noodle dancing at concerts and Penn State football.
Jessica Scheer, CFO

Jessica grew up in NH and graduated from Clark University in MA. Jessica came to NYC a few years ago to do development work for some great organizations like Greyston Foundation (mmm, Greyston Bakery brownies!!) and Nonprofit Finance Fund. She also earned a Masters degree in Nonprofit Management from Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy. At DS.org, Jess does fundraising with individuals and foundations and runs the special events. As CFO, she makes sure DS.org has the cash and other resources it needs to keep doing great stuff. When she's not at work, Jess can usually be found hanging out with her husband Matt and her puppy Eliza, cooking up yummy vegetarian and Indian food, or taking a spinning class.
A note about the pic: Jess doesn't actually parade around in a princess dress (at least in the office). This was Nancy's shout-out to her at the 2010 Kickoff to the Do Something Awards for pulling that show together.
Stephanie Han-yu Shih, Digital Engagement (@stephaniehshih)

Stephanie interacts with young people every day via SMS (omg lol amirite?), keeping them in-the-know about Do Something's goings on and helping them to use technology as a vital tool in offline action. She also runs the office book club, but so far it's only read one book.
Previously, Stephanie managed special projects at a grassroots non-profit working to organize and support young farmers in America. She's a food activist and a feminist, which means she has a lot of opinions (sharing food is a form of communication! why you gotta be so sexist!). In her free time Stephanie likes to re-imagine New York's landscape as an urban pastoral and is doing her part by growing 20+ kinds of veggies and herbs in someone else's backyard (he's pictured at right, cut off, whoops). Her last name is pronounced like the pronoun and she "really relates" to the web comic Pictures for Sad Children.
Lauren Smith, Graphic Designer (@smithln)

Lauren is responsible for keeping the identity and visual content of Do Something lookin' amaze-balls. Her brief stint as a intern only affirmed her realization from day one that Do Something was the perfect place to combine her love for all things design with her passion for social change. When she's not campaigning against the use of bad fonts, she's often seen refining her culinary skills in the kitchen, perusing the Twitterverse for ways to take action (this is how she found her job, anyway), and cheering on her alma matter (forever to thee, Gamecocks).
While getting her degree in Visual Communications with a minor in Graphic Design, she was a Peer Leader who co-instructed semester-long classes for the University 101 program and a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia, SC. She believes it should be a mandatory requirement for one to study abroad, as she often reminisces about her semester in Italy eating way too much pasta. Until she gets the chance to retire with an international calling code, she is excited to work with a staff that's just as appreciative of cupcake birthday celebrations, lip-dubs, and powering young people to change the world.
Melanie Stevenson, Director of Business Development (@meljintheusa)

First and foremost, Melanie would like to thank you for scrolling all the way down to "S" to read about her. Melanie connects DoSomething.org with awesome brands and turns those partnerships into national cause campaigns. Melanie also launched and manages DoSomething.org's international expansion strategy, now active in 4 countries outside the US and growing rapidly.
She joined DoSomething.org after working with Portraits of Hope and the Garden in Transit project, plastering NYC's taxi fleet with flowers painted by 23,000 kids and volunteers. After the project, she sent the artwork to New Orleans to beautify schools and homes.
Melanie studied Spanish and Bioethics at Davidson College in NC where she volunteered with Girls on the Run and the Florence Crittenton Center. Melanie actively volunteers with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans. If she were a Disney princess, Melanie would be Ariel.
Calvin Stowell, Social Media (@aurosan)

Calvin is in charge of keeping all the odds and ends of Do Something's internet presence together. Social media is what Calvin lives and breathes so it's the perfect fit. He migrated to New York City from a small rural town in New Hampshire 5 years ago for college and loved it so much he couldn't leave, even after he was done. Some of Calvin's odd jobs before he landed at Do Something included managing the social media portfolio of a reality TV star, a children's record label and various gossip blogs. He decided he wanted to Do Something (get it) so he left that behind and entered the world of the non-profit. In his free time Calvin enjoys comic books, cartoons and video games. He is essentially a 12 year old boy trapped in the body of a 23 year old man.
Greg Thomas, Campaigns (@gregoryjmrmr)

Greg graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in Marketing with a minor in snowboarding and hiking. After graduation, Greg packed up two suitcases and a guitar and took a plane to Newark airport, where he spent $80 on an unlicensed cab with a malfunctioning trunk to take him to the Big Apple.
In 2007, Greg joined the music industry, planning releases for artists like Coldplay and Katy Perry at EMI while spending his nights performing his own music around the city to ten, sometimes twelve people. He's very excited to join the Business Development team at Do Something, and is most excited about Toto Tuesdays, although he thinks that "Rosanna" is superior to "Africa".
Jonathan Uy, Mobile Developer

Jon first came to know about Do Something in 2005 when he volunteered for a day to stand outside in the New York rain and raise funds for the tsunami relief effort. Years later, he's happy to join DS again, only this time as a mobile developer staying indoors and dry.
For the years in between, Jon worked in video games as a programmer. He contributed to the release of two games, witnessed 7 consoles die on his desk, and consumed no less than 100 late-night slices of pizza. He's happy to come home to a wife and a donut-loving cat. With his free time, Jon enjoys dabbling in photography, playing games he didn't help make, and dancing when no one's watching.
George Weiner, CTO (@georgecaweiner)

George manages all the internet, computer, and online communication stuff for DoSomething.org. George votes early and often and is probably having PB&J for lunch today.
Originally from Brooklyn, George holds a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania (but he did take one class in Business Ethics from the Wharton School. He got a gentleman's B+). Aside from working diligently at DoSomething.org, he is a coach for the New York Road Runner's Club and coaches a City Sports for Kids program in the Bronx. He would like it noted that he runs marathons faster than Lance Armstrong and 4 mile races faster than every intern at DoSomething.org.
Check out the project he created for his volunteer trip in Mozambique. Watch a really long interview from the National Conference on Volunteering and Service. Watch the Google Adwords talk given at the August 2009 Google Grants Conference. Read some of his rants on The Huffington Post.
We are hiring in the tech department, if you are applying for a position please add the number "11" in the subject line to show you read this. We like people that do their homework on us ;)
April Wright, Campaigns (@aprilmwright)

April graduated from James Madison University (go Duuuukes!) with a BA in Communications and Technical & Scientific Communications. After graduation, April worked and lived in DC for several years—first as a PR professional, then as an environmental marketing consultant. While she enjoyed living in DC and kicking it with the POTUS, April knew it was time to shake life up in a new city. [Enter Do Something]. April fell in love with Do Something after working with them on their eMission project and knew she had to join the team. She is pretty excited about helping young people make a difference and follow their passions!
Some unknown facts about April: She has an uncanny ability to turn any conversation into song; Due to a previous side job as a cheesemonger, she can identify most cheeses either by sight or taste (endearing?); No her middle name is not May (or any other month/season for that matter); She REALLY loves to celebrate birthdays; And she hopes to one day master a good moonwalk (she’s been practicing with this instructional video).
Ellie Zeitlin, Member Engagement
Although Ellie hails from the winter wonderland of Wisconsin, she has called New York her home for the past four years. Ellie graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University (woooo Millie) where she studied Political Economy and French. These varied interests eventually led her to Do Something where she works as the Scholarships Associate, passing out money and making college affordable!
Ellie's favorite things in life are: central park, Jonathan Safran Foer, filling open spaces with dance and/or dance parties, la France, and Center Stage. She is also unnaturally good at making quesadillas.
