Help the Hungry

Organize a canned food collection drive and donate the goods to your local food pantry.

Poster your school campus with facts about hunger and what people can do to help.

Volunteer at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen.

Clean Out Your Closet

Donate the clothes you don’t wear or that don’t fit to a homeless shelter. Check out TeensforJeans.com to see if local Aero stores are accepting jeans

Host a Movie Screening

Host a screening of great movies like The Pursuit of Happiness, Kicking It, and Slumdog Millionaire. After the film, talk about what you’ve learned and ways to take action to solve the problems you just saw.

Use Music to Make a Difference

Donate your instrument. If you haven’t picked up your tuba from that band class three years ago, donate it! Instruments can give children and adults living in poverty a great outlet, and many talented people can’t afford instruments.

Host a benefit concert or battle of the bands to raise money for your favorite org working to end poverty.

Be Literary

Hold a poetry or book reading at your favorite local spot – ask people to come and read homelessness and poverty-related works to raise awareness and collect donations

every few months i clean out my closet and give stuff 2 Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. and places like those. :)

i would help by raising money and sending them to africa, honduras, Mexico, and some parts in asia and south America just for the children to have the proper care and the nutrition they need

I donate nearly half of my wardrobe every three months or so. I think it's wrong to donate the clothes that are ratty. Donate the clothes and shoes that you love. They'll be more appreciated.
I want to change the world. I want to work in Africa and help the poverty situation there. I will help Africa. It is my goal that no person in Africa spends their life not knowing the love of Jesus, not having enough food to eat, and not having clean water to drink.
