How to: Create Program Inserts on the Benefits of Music Education for School and Local Concerts

This is a great way to make a large audience aware of the positive impact of music education on students.

  1. Know the stats. Check out the Music Education issue page for some facts and background info.
  2. Get personal stories. Interview your peers about why music education matters to them. Take pictures and include quotes in your printed materials.
  3. Design it. Create a cool one-sheeter complete with eye-catching artwork and graphics. If you're not artistically inclined, ask a graphic designer or artist friend for help.
  4. Get it out there. When your insert is complete, reach out to local performance centers and your school's music or performance department and ask them to include your one-sheeter in their concert programs.
