Action Tips: Help Build a Home for an Injured Soldier with Homes for our Troops

Homes for Our Troops is a non-profit, non-partisan oorganization that is strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to their country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries. They assist severely injured Servicemen and Women and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and then coordinating the process of building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility. The finished home is then given to the veteran. All services provided by Homes for Our Troops are at no cost to the veterans served!

How can you help?

Join the Street Team program which is self-organized and self-managed... by you! You can participate alone or form your own group. The goal is to spread the word about Homes for Our Troops. • Ask businesses in your area if they would be willing to show their support for a local veteran by hanging a flyer in their store.
  • Connect with Homes for our Troops on MySpace.com, Facebook.com , YouTube.com and/or Twitter.com and you'll get the latest news, meet people with similar interests, watch videos and network together to help injured veterans. Join the conversation!
  • Do you know someone in the construction industry? Maybe a neighbor who's a general contractor or a cousin that does electrical work? Tell them about Homes for Our Troops!
