Action Tips: Help Deployed Female Servicemembers Receive Supplies for their Unique Health and Hygiene Needs

The Ladies of Liberty team focuses on the needs of deployed female servicemembers. They understand that females are instrumental in the current war (as in the past), and make special efforts to support them in their missions while showcasing our appreciation for their service. They assist with supplies for their unique health and hygiene needs, and help them experience a few pampering moments to rejuvenate and "be good to themselves."

The following kinds of items are needed for the adopted Ladies:

• Personal care - feminine hygiene materials and vitamins
• Pampering - body scrub, nail polish (for toes) and facial masks
• Haircare - hair bands, brushes, shampoo and conditioner
• Leisure materials - books, magazines and "chick flicks" (movies)

You can organize a collection drive. You may even consider organizing an awareness campaign to inform people about the many contributions of female service members. Once they know how much women in the service do, they may be more inclined to help out!
