Organize an awareness campaign about common disasters in your neighborhood
Is your area prone to floods, wildfires, landslides, earthquakes or other natural disasters? Do your fellow classmates and/or neighbors know what to do in a disaster? Do they know how to be safe, the designated evacuation routes or what to do if they are trapped in their homes? Why not show them?
Awareness is your (and their) best defense. Organize an awareness campaign complete with flyers and speakers, if possible. Consider holding your campaign in September, during Disaster Awareness Month, but remember, disasters happen every day so anytime is good time for an awareness campaign. Here's how!
