Play the Food Force game to learn about global hunger and ways to prevent it
Play the Food Force online game and learn about approaches to the hunger crisis.
Food Force is an Educational game published by the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) in 2005. Due to its content, it is considered a serious game (game with educational purpose). Players take on missions to distribute food in a famine-affected country, and to help it recover and become self-sufficient again. At the same time they learn about hunger in the real world and the WFP's work to prevent it.

I would do this if there was a game for Linux.
it was fun and kinda easy. also very informative. it's interesting to learn about the ways that programs help out to save people's lives from starvation.

Hello friends,
I am embarking on a great task this holiday season. I would like to connect the Eastern Henrico County community to support a FEED THE NEED Campaign 2009. It is a food drive to support the hungry and homeless. All food donations will support the Central Virginia Food Bank. I hope to collect 1,000 pounds of food by December 17, 2009. But I can do it alone. I need the support of my family, friends, and colleagues.
I know some of you are busy and living hectic lives, however we must unite and give back at least one time a year and this holiday season is the perfect to use your talent, mind, ambition, networks, and resources to assist the EASTERN HENRICO COUNTY FEED THE NEED CAMPAIGN 2009!
Please email me at wrobinson8471@email.vccs.edu or wcrobinson2003@yahoo.com if you have any pertinent information that can make this a smooth, efficient, and successful drive. We all have talents and the apostle Paul highlights that notion in 1 Corinthians 12:1-3 (New International Version) "Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. 2You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit."
Let's use our talents to FEED THE NEED this holiday season! :-)
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Walter
