Create colorful and attention-grabbing posters and flyers to spread the word about your dog wash. Have a catchy slogan like, “Polish your pet’s paws for a really good cause!” In the poster include the:
Location
Date
Time
Place
Cost
You are going to need supplies. Contact your local pet supply store to see if they can donate items. Make sure to have:
Dog shampoo
Plastic bins for tubs
Washcloths
Combs
Sponges
Break up all of the stations with clear labels and have volunteers (think family and friends) at each station. You should have a:
Shampoo/washing station
Rinsing station
Drying station (Watch out. The dog may decide to dry itself.)
Brushing station
Make sure to have a doggy donation station where customers can donate extra cash money to the shelter. Hand out flyers about the shelter you are donating the proceedings to. Don’t forget to put pics of adorable animals that need homes and ways people can volunteer.
