This is your opportunity to show your support for our brave service people who are stationed far from home: you can recycle your cell phone in green style and help them call home!

Here's the deal: Cell Phones for Soldiers recycles your old phone, keeping nasty chemicals out of landfills. Then, using the funds raised through recycling, they send prepaid phone cards to American troops around the world so they can keep in touch with their loved ones at home. Sounds like a good deal to us! Here's how to collect cell phones in your community and help the troops stay in touch:

Donate Your Phone

You can send your old cell phone or Palm Pilot to Cell Phones for Soldiers. Batteries, chargers and accessories are not required but gladly accepted. Make sure to deactivate your phone before sending it in. Print shipping labels and find out more about shipping guidelines

Collect and Donate Cell Phones

Get your whole school, sports team, Do Something club, and community involved by setting up a collection drive for cell phones. Not sure how to set it up? Check out our tips on how to run a collection drive. Then, head over to Cell Phones for Soldiers to see how you can find a drop-off point in your area or set up a drop-off point

Sell Yourself!

Promote your collection drive! Make your own or download custom flyers and posters to advertise your collection drive in your community and around school. Ask local businesses and community center to display the flyers too. Get local media coverage by downloading a press release to give to local newspapers and TV stations.
