Be careful! The products you use may be tested on animals. If you are opposed to animal testing, you can look for products made by companies that do not test their products or their ingredients on animals.
The best thing to do is to read the labels of products you buy. Look for companies that a leaping bunny logo (like the one on the right) next time you shop.

I think its stupid how on bottles and stuff, the writing is so small and hidden that you can barely see it. No one wants to spend 5 minutes looking at each thing they buy. They should have it more noticeable. Like print it bigger or make the writing about animal testing a different color.
i think its cruel that they even test something that could possibly be dangerous on a creature who has no way of stopping it.

I always and only buy cruelty-free products, and I always read labels. There are books at local health food stores where they list the names of the ingredients and what they actually are, and their source, so if I don't recognize the weird name of a chemical in something, I look it up!
Not only do we save innocent little beings by being careful to only buy compassionate products, but we save the whole world, let companies know what we will endorse and buy, and we save our own bodies, and our looks, since using natural, healthy products benefits us personally!
I think that if they have the time to test it on animals and risk the poor innocent things. I think they should test it on them selves and if they get hurt its there own fault. why use it on a animal that cant say no?
I have always been a person for animals. People who test products (even if they hurt them or not) on animals are terrible! I wish they could find something better to do with their lifes.
I think this is a good thing I ever buy anything that is tested on animals because its cruel and wrong, animals are like children and I don't think you would want your children to be tested on would you.
animals might not be as important to humans as children are but they still live in this planet just like we do and we should as well protect them from things they werent born for like callous things humans do to them!

I have been doing this for years. I have a table set up at my school about this!
I am totally going to do this! It just takes a few seconds of one's time to look AT the ingredients, and-- usually-- on products that don't have animal testing for its final product and ingredients, it says it.
Yeah... but when you talk about labels and not hurting animals by using those shampoos and other things that were tested on them --- What about the labels that say "chicken", and "beef" and "pork"?
Eating animals hurts just as much as animal testing does... They have to kill the animals in a very painful way. And before that the animals live in tiny cages without sunlight called "factory farms".

me and my friend were ready to take a stand and we got people to sign a petition and we got facts and thoughts of people and we were doin just about everything but then we remembered that we had no clue where to go to protest at so we were just stuck and i guess we quit. People think that your appearance is what makes you ugly but the way i see it the way you act and what you do makes you an ugly person, heck taylor lautner i think is the hottest thing but if he was one of the scientists that do that i would think that he was the ugliest thing in the world! if they want more shampoos in the world they can test on themselves rats may freak me out sometimes but its wrong and cruel
I totally am doing this,it's such a good idea,I never really thought about it before,but I read about this,I went and looked at some of the bottles of body wash and stuff like that i had,almost every one I had was animal tested,I was like,"no way!"
they shouldn't test chemicals on animals! its very dangerous and it could harm (or kill) the animal if its not safe. im totally against testing stuff on animals. im an animal lover, and i wouldn't buy anything that would be tested on animals. i hope i don't find anything around my house that has been tested on animals. i'm sorry if i DO have something that's been tested on animals :( think about it...what if someone was testing chemicals and stuff on YOU. that would change peoples minds A LOT.
I disagree on animal testing. There are so many products out in the market that use animals. When the products that don't use animals do the same thing that products that use animal testing. Even the experimenters know that animals and humans react differently with chemicals. An even though they still use them for nothing. I stopped using all the products that use animal testing. I also did a speech about the animal testings. We should lock up the people who do experiments on animals.
What I hate the most is that they mostly test on small animals. So, if you think it will work on a human why not try it on a little mouse?

Man has made such a negetive impact on anything it trys to create or anything it even touches. Now in days its all about the money and if the mistreatment of animals makes this happen why not. It's ridiculous that this is even legal because even though they alert us on the back of every product, no wonder no body pays attention because that type of information is in samll letters and the least important information is the kind in bold letters. And what do we do? I'm not going to lie but no body reads it, the bold letters are more appealing and we all fall in mans trap to buy the product and finance animal testing even more.
Here in Arkansas deer hunting season has just started and just the other day I was on the free way and I saw a dead deer on the trunk of a mans truck.
All I'm saying is that if you have money to buy food at the grocery store or to even have a truck to drive, there is no need to kill
to those of you who think its "ok" to test on animals, consider this: what if a larger species came and dominated humans, im sure those species would think its okay to test on humans. animals have just as much right to life as humans.
Its so stupid how people test their products on animals. They can't speak for themselves. I just went through all my bathroom stuff and was so relieved to see none of it was animal tested. Don't kill innocent animals just because your afraid to test on yourself! If its that big of a threat then dont use it!

How do I know whats animal tested and not tested? Will it say it on the product? I don't want to use animal tested products at all anymore. But i have no idea what to look for to make sure I'm not using them. Someone pleasee help me?

i think that the F.D.A. if nothing else should have companys put a simble that shows their test on animals or not. it would be much more asuring and would save everyone alot of time looking for the fine print.

iI would say that when one people says that adog can live without food for 7 days; Does that other person even thinks how he/she knows that. or when someone says that the new inorganic food has no effect on rats, how does that person knows if our digestive sistem is as good as theirs.
Oh, you know guys, maybe we should animal test to be safe (being sarcastic). Who gave these people the right to hurt animals that didn't do anything to us? You know, we've animal tested for a while, maybe we should start human testing. Humans are the most useless things on the planet. You can disagree, but it's the truth.
How would they like it if animals tested on us? It just isn't fair. I refuse to use anything tested on animals even if I have to spend eternity to read the tiny print if it's tested on animals or not.

I love animals and I do not support any company that uses them for testing. It is not fair to them because they can not speak for themselves.
I hate animal testing, it is so cruel, i made a list of companys that ue animal testing and gave it out at my school so people will avoid them. Animals are not able to give consent to the testing, so the should not be tested on.
I have been using all animal friendly products for about 3 months now and I love it. I feel so good about not supporting the companies that torture animals. There are some amazing brands out there that don't test on animals. PETA has a great resource for finding companies that don't test on animals.
