Action Tips: Support World Vision
What is World Vision?
World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. For just $35 a month you can sponsor a HopeChild in African countries and other countries around the world and help turn the tide of the HIV/AIDS pandemic! As a HopeChild sponsor, you are connected with one special child who will know your name, write to you and feel your tender love and prayers. You can provide things such as: clean water, nutritious food, health care, including AIDS prevention, care for sick or dying parents, educational opportunities, HIV/AIDS counseling.

The best ting I ever did. You should too...you won't regret it, I promise!
I am definitely going to get involved!
Though World Vision certainly does some good work, they do not receive the most favorable ratings from charity watch dog groups like, the BBB's Wise Giving Alliance, Charity Navigator, or Interaction. I prefer Save the Children, they are not religiously affiliated and they are more efficient, 92% of Save the Children Expenditures go directly to program services while World Vision only devotes 86% of expenditures to support programs in poverty stricken areas. The joy of sponsorship is important and rewarding regardless of the organization, but it's important to do the research behind the efficiency of the organizations.
Life is to short, so before you go make a use of your self by helping others.
I want to help out as much as I can

I really really want to do this...
I would love to help a child. But my guardians would not approve in the least. I am going to try to talk them into letting me do this...So I hope they will be open minded.
