Take action to increase awareness

Take action to increase awareness of the problems of injuries in preventing youth from accessing education.

Every year, millions of children around the world die from preventable causes. Injuries and violence are important contributors to avoidable deaths in children of all ages, especially 5-17 year old. Here's your chance to promote and raise awareness about how to prevent injuries.

There are times when some high school students feel like quitting. They also feel like if they don't get an edu. then they're a failure..that's absolutely not true. Every teen/person has a right to education. No one can be a failure if you won't let, believe in yourself because that's all that matters.Learning new things each and every day has an impact on your life, and also takes you further to do important and outstanding things such as being successful in the career you intend to be in or just reaching your goals to graduate or get a college degree.

I am not sure how to share our resources with people here. I have been developing a series of press ready educational fact cards that we are going to use during a Vow of Silence day this summer to educate the public about global issues we are concerned about. I have uploaded the .PDF's to Scribd but I don't know how to get the link here. I am providing the badge link in case anyone is interested in staying up to date with the series.

I think that growing up is one of the biggest thing in your life. You have so much to learn and so much to do. At a time we make mistakes but we learn from our mistakes. We learn how to interact with each other and we also learn about different kinds of societies. Your school mates, family , and teachers can have a big impact on your life through the ages 5-17 years of age.

Students that drop out of school may think that the education that could recive will serve no purpose in the real world. Once they meet reality they start to see that a diploma would have taken them farther, but the problem is they think they can not go back to school. So they go through life with a the feeling that they are a failure and they will never amount to anything, this is the wrong mantality to have. If your going to succeed at anything you have to belive that you can do it. As far as people criticizing you, well don't listen. Someone told me "Quiters never win" and "Winners never Quit", so don't think there is no second chances in life, because its never to late to change.

i think that this is a phenomenal idea! i enjoy enjoy the fact that the program has set up a way that even little children can get involved and educate themselves about the issue, but in a way that they can understand. i am excited and honored to be able to take part in this movement and attempt to make the world a better place. Not just for one's self but the entire human race!
