Action Tips: Take action to increase awareness

Take action to increase awareness of the problems of injuries in preventing youth from accessing education.

Every year, millions of children around the world die from preventable causes. Injuries and violence are important contributors to avoidable deaths in children of all ages, especially 5-17 year old. Here's your chance to promote and raise awareness about how to prevent injuries.

There are times when some high school students feel like quitting. They also feel like if they don't get an edu. then they're a failure..that's absolutely not true. Every teen/person has a right to education. No one can be a failure if you won't let, believe in yourself because that's all that matters.Learning new things each and every day has an impact on your life, and also takes you further to do important and outstanding things such as being successful in the career you intend to be in or just reaching your goals to graduate or get a college degree.

I am not sure how to share our resources with people here. I have been developing a series of press ready educational fact cards that we are going to use during a Vow of Silence day this summer to educate the public about global issues we are concerned about. I have uploaded the .PDF's to Scribd but I don't know how to get the link here. I am providing the badge link in case anyone is interested in staying up to date with the series.

I think that growing up is one of the biggest thing in your life. You have so much to learn and so much to do. At a time we make mistakes but we learn from our mistakes. We learn how to interact with each other and we also learn about different kinds of societies. Your school mates, family , and teachers can have a big impact on your life through the ages 5-17 years of age.

Students that drop out of school may think that the education that could recive will serve no purpose in the real world. Once they meet reality they start to see that a diploma would have taken them farther, but the problem is they think they can not go back to school. So they go through life with a the feeling that they are a failure and they will never amount to anything, this is the wrong mantality to have. If your going to succeed at anything you have to belive that you can do it. As far as people criticizing you, well don't listen. Someone told me "Quiters never win" and "Winners never Quit", so don't think there is no second chances in life, because its never to late to change.

i think that this is a phenomenal idea! i enjoy enjoy the fact that the program has set up a way that even little children can get involved and educate themselves about the issue, but in a way that they can understand. i am excited and honored to be able to take part in this movement and attempt to make the world a better place. Not just for one's self but the entire human race!

I think it is a great idea! I think its such a great idea because i come from a family that has not many high school graduates.

i myself have participated in a day of silence at my high school dedicated to the awareness of child abuse, bullying, and child hood diseases. this was a phenomal idea. i was very surprised at the amount of students that participated. ONE voice CAN and WILL make a DIFFERENCE!!

I agree with everyone on their comments.Education plays a very important role in your life, whether or not people realizes it.There was times I've been stress out a lot about school, but having "Faith" is what kept me from giving up or even thinking about dropping out of high school. What you put in life is what you gone get out of it, so think BIG and be successful and be determined! No, its never to late to get an education! All I do is believe, because whatever I put my heart to I know I can do it! NEVER GIVE UP!

Everyone has a point in their own views of things. No matter what people do or say there are still going to be things about life that no one can change. Even if something can not be changed there are ways for people to step in and provide any kind of guidence that they can. Lets just say a little boy that plays sports gets hurt and can't play. Should we just sit there and let him think about what he did or are we going to encourage him not to give up and to keep on hoping and working towards his goals for the future.

I like this idea. I am thinking about using this but turning it around a little and changing the cause. Since I am wanting to be an educator because of obesity; I will probably put that as my target concern.

This idea is very important. More and more teenagers 13-19 are dying from teen violence. As a teenager I have lost many of my close friends to teen violence and I wish to stop the violence as its still going on as we speak.

Poverty in the young age is one of major concern in rural areas. Povery prevents youths to continue their school in the formative years. the existing system of education pulling youth out from the educational system. They need alternative to this sorry status.

The young students and youths are struggling with millions of issues. Particularly the youths living in rural areas are less access to information, inadequate development contact, Non availability of source of materials, and supports. they need continued counselling support in order to empower themselves on a sustainable basis. In this context, do some thing support is need of the hour and make wonderfull changes in the community.

I believe that all education proceeds by the participation of the individual in the social consciousness of the race. The foregoing paragraph lends itself to the sort of exhaustive analysis that would lead into all areas of a philosophic investigation, but it is the last sentence that implies the raison d’être of Education theories. Education is a complexity of ideas about the child, the teacher, and society that are in keeping with one’s philosophy of education, and it involves the relationship between social aims and goals, and mediator the educational program and the teacher. But it is also true that Educational System is a society product of man and of his aims and that it may become increasingly so the pragmatic goal of education is to develop individuals who can function adequately in our present democratic context and who are capable for creative responses for future action.

Education is the most important thing in life,it can make someone to achieves his or her potentials! with out education your aim to achieve will be very or less litle,Education they say makes us to impact our life,Education is one of the most important potentials one can ever achieve in life.it is a personality one can impact on!

Education is lacked due to poverty,a child who have a poor background can never have the oppurtunity to enroll in educational participation!poverty has encounter some of our children today not to have their right as the children of the nation, what am asking is these, have you ever seen a child who is from a poor background entain his or her right to enroll in educational practises? no.so lets see what we can do about it!

Not being able to access education, or not wanting to has become more and more prevalant in this day and age. If we, yes I said WE, can spread the word, and really try to help this coming generation as much as possible to educate themselves, the future will have a better outlook. Come on young people! Lets educate ourselves! We can become what our childhood dreams always wanted to be. We just need to take the first step. If all 142 of us can help one person, minimum, and help them along this path, and they inturn do the same, this process will have a far reaching effect. Lets do it! = )

Wow, helping out the impoverished individuals is the best blessing for my life. I just graduated my Electrical Residential trade course and I am proud of my self. I don't think I would have made it with out helping all of those cool people. I am Dreaming, Believing, and Achieving my goals. I am impressed with all of the Clubs that are filled with the beautiful helpers doing something for the best in their communities. God Bless everyone.

Education is definately an important factor to everyone sooner or later. I came accross business owners that now look back and wonder why they never finished school. As we are still young we cannot get discouraged with the problems we deal with and take it out on school. In the long run your degree will be of importance to you when you are faced with a problem in oyur business and have nothing else to fall back on.

Education is light that one uses to see what is before and ahead of him or her. Without education one is limited in his or her thinking and actions toward others. With education one can become productive and sustainable in his life.

I am very happy to be a part of do something club. I wish to encourage others to be a part of this organization. I am very much happy and I wish let you know on things unfolding with the club.
