Talk about why women from under-developed countries are more likely to become victims of human trafficking

What is human trafficking?

Trafficking in persons is modern-day slavery, involving victims who are forced, defrauded or coerced into labor or sexual exploitation. Annually, about 600,000 to 800,000 people -- mostly women and children -- are trafficked across national borders which does not count millions trafficked within their own countries.

Women are particularly vulnerable to this slavery-like practice, due largely to the persistent inequalities they face in status and opportunity worldwide. Find out more facts about human trafficking here and share this with your friends!

This is a part of my Senior project and it's also a topic I care a lot about! Thank you so much for this!!

Really GOD is always watching so those people who actually have been put into human trafficing will be okay under helping conditions.

I really think people should be more aware of this cause and support legislation that cracks down not only on the supply of human trafficking but the DEMAND of human trafficking, particularly in industrialized nations like the United States. A lot of people don't realize that human trafficking takes place even in cities like Phoenix and Los Angeles, and those stories are barely heard.
