Is your area prone to tornados? Or perhaps your area experiences earthquakes several times a year? Would your classmates know what to do if a hurricane struck? How about educating them by writing an article for school or town newspaper? Here's how.
Additional tips:
- Talk to neighbors you know who have lived in the neighborhood for a long time and have experienced an emergency. Maybe they'll be willing to give you a quote to spice up your article.
- Speak to a police officer or fireman who has been involved in evacuation or has responded to a disaster. They can give you personal insight that may make your article more interesting.
- Reach our to the American Red Cross in your area. Perhaps someone there could give you a personal anecdote.
