# OF VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 10

DESCRIPTION:
As a Volunteer, you are expected to be a positive role model and mentor for your Junior Youth. Volunteers will be spending approximately, three hours per week with a youth, for a minimum of one year. Volunteers will plan fun-filled activities of a social or recreational nature (i.e. tutoring, homework help, sports, etc.) This program has serviced over 20,000 youth since 1976 and has kept 98% of our youth in school and out of trouble.

We are starting 2009 off with a BANG! We have FREE tickets to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, and so much more. We want to have some of our new volunteers attend these events with our youth ASAP.

QUALIFICATIONS:
15 – 29 years old
Live within Toronto (GTA), York Region, Peel Region
No recent or serious criminal record
Previous experience working with youth
Ability to speak a second language is an assest (newcomers welcome!)
