Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What is The Pregnancy Text?

The Pregnancy Text is a one day challenge designed to highlight situations you may be in if you were a teen parent. The challenge is over this year, but sign up above to receive updates on the baby due in 2013.

  • Why should I do this?

Although having a child is a wonderful thing for many people, becoming a teen parent can have a big effect on your day to day life. By sharing this with your friends, you can help them think about a subject that could use a bit more consideration. Through a survey of those who took the Pregnancy Text, 50% said they were more likely to talk to friends and family about the issue of teen pregnancy.

  • What do you do with my friend’s phone number?

We will send your friends’ the Pregnancy Text to their cell phones. They will have the option whether they’d like to take it. We’ll never give out your or your friends’ information!

  • What will be sent to my friends?

Your friends will be sent different situations they might be in if they were raising a baby. An example message would be: “What’s that smell? Oh...it’s me. We’ve got a situation downtown. I know you’re busy, but I need to be changed ASAP. Answer the call of doodie and freshen me up!”

  • How long is the challenge?

The challenge starts the morning after you have accepted the challenge and lasts for one day. You will receive approximately ten text messages.

  • How do I win a $2,000 scholarship?

The campaign has officially closed, and the $2,000 scholarship has been rewarded. There are still plenty of scholarship opportunities available with other campaigns.
