Part of growing up means making decisions and sometimes hard life choices. It comes with the territory of being a teen. We’re not here to tell you how to live your life, it’s up to you to make the decision that’s best for you. We’ve provided you a list of resources so you can check out all your options:

Not having sex is the only 100% effective way to prevent teen pregnancy and STIs. There are many reasons people decide to wait whether they are not ready, waiting to be in a lasting healthy relationship, or taking a pledge of sexual purity. Check out these resources to find more information on waiting for girls and for guys .
If you’ve decided to have sex, make sure to practice safely and responsibly in order to prevent an unplanned pregnancy, STIs and STDs. There are many different methods people use to stay protected, so make sure to find the one that works best for you. Check out these resources to find out more on protecting yourself and your partner.
All states have different laws in terms of receiving sexual health services. For example, all 50 states allow minors to consent to STI services without parental permission. Check out this resource from the Guttmacher Institute to see what rights you have in your state.
