How did you spread the word about your Battle of the Bands video? We used social media, and spreading the word by telling friends.

Did you use social media to get more eyes on your video? How? facebook, youtube, blogs, formspring, AIM, MSN, hi5.

Why is music education important to you? Music education is not only important to me, but to the rest of the class as well. It inspires, it brings love, and most importantly not just music education but music itself brings us all as one, and as a family. It is an element that many students in the class need, enjoy, feel or love. Our orchestra is hoping to build stronger foundations for future students that are interested in music education. And it would be great if most schools provided music education.

Tell us more about the group or type of musical performance in your video: We are a group of 45+ members but share one common interest. We all enjoy making music. Here at Granada Hills Charter High School, the Advanced Orchestra play and look into many styles of music; whether they include classical, pop, disney, and even have been arranged and written by our very own classmates.

Anything else we should know about your Battle of the Bands video project? This project was done with a lot of effort to win, not only for ourselves, but for our music education and program at school. We're hoping to spread the love of music and that everyone will join along.
