Each video submission will be given its own page where people can vote for the video. The top ten videos with the most votes will be reviewed by a panel of celebrity judges and music industry experts to choose final prizing. See the prizing page for more information.
Besides the Battle for the Bands website, the Vh1 Save the Music Foundation will share a mashup of the best videos to key legislators on Capitol Hill to show them why they should not cut music programs from schools.
You can create a video solo or with a group. Just make sure you collect email addresses for your group members before uploading your video so they can be eligible for prizing.
We will accept videos from 3/1-4/26. From 4/27-5/11 we will have a dedicated voting period, so make sure you share your submission page to get into the top 10!
If you are in the top 10, musicians like Ingrid Michaelson will be reviewing submisions, along with music industry wizards.
You will need to create or use an existing youtube account in order to upload your videos. When submitting your video to us, you will need to supply your youtube video URL.
We'll announce the winners on June 4th, so send in those videos and save the date!
