Music Education is the bestest way to battle the problem our world faces.
I think on a root level, all the issues stem from miscommunication, misunderstanding, not listening to each other, and the idea that were all different.
We're not.
We're all made from the same thing, and I think music is a beautiful way to show that and bring out our common humanity and universal similarities.
Music builds community, promotes collaboration, and teaches us how to connect to each other on a deep level. its magic.
I work and am a member of MIMA, a wonderful non profit music organization that works to spread the spirit of community and music education all over the world. They go to different countries and host workshops that teach kids an adults musical exercise so that they free they creativity, empower themselves, and learn how to be a community.
Working with them was very inspiring, and i decided to write a song about where Im at in my life and how music plays a role in that.
I took videos that mim a has shot all over the world that shows what music has done for others and combined the two.
I think musical expression is the greatest thing in the universe.
The biggest challenge was staying seated during the editing. with such a groovy song....it got difficult not to start dancing all the time.
