Yesterday's Annual Meeting at DoSomething.org was a big success. We revealed that we're pumping up our campaigns, and everyone really went wild for the hot chocolate we served.

DoSomething.org has convinced tech leader Adam Hirsch to join the force! The current COO of Mashable will become our Chief Digital Officer on February 7th.

Adam will oversee member engagement, inlcuding:

  • social media
  • product development
  • mobile

Hundreds Are Hungry For A Job at DoSomething.org

On November 8 and 16, eager job seekers came out by the masses to the Do Something offices in Union Square. Nothing could stop applicants from gracing us with their presence, as the masses packed into our humble abode for our info-packed job sessions. As candidates intensely listened in on how awesome working at Do Something is and what each job entails, everyone had one thing on their mind – figuring out how they can land a coveted spot on our team.

Hundreds will apply for 15 positions. Who will conquer and snag a job at Do Something? We’ll keep you posted on the Lucky 15.

Farewell Grants Fairy, Amanda!

Last Friday the DS team got teary-eyed as we said 'see you' to Amanda, our Coordinator of Social Entrepreneurship. We're really going to miss our very own Grants Fairy (a summer kickball nickname) who lit up the office with her infectious laugh and loving personality. We wish Amanda the very best as she begins a new adventure in Nebraska!

DoSomething.org Staff Gives Their Spit for Cancer

Yesterday there was some major drooling in the DoSomething.org office. That's because the staff and their friends participated in the Give a Spit campaign to help fight leukemia and other blood cancers.

The Happiest Place on Earth

Last week the Do Something team headed to the happiest place on earth...yep, that's right, we went to Disney! Each year staff takes a few days out of the office to hunker down and discuss the exciting goings-on at Do Something. There's no better place to feel inspired by big dreams and imagination than Disney! We had productive conversation, some awesome team bonding (ever play the human knot game? We're pro's at it now!), and still made sure we had some time to experience all our favorite rides!
