4th of July Do’s and Don’ts

Hotdogs, fireworks, and patriotic excuses to wear only red, white, and blue. We love the 4th of July. Keep the holiday solid this year with the following Do’s and Don’ts.

Do's

Don'ts

Stay active by playing water sports with family and friends.

Swim alone, dive in shallow water, or swim in unsafe waters.

Store fireworks in a cool place and use them safely.

Start your own firework show if they are illegal in your state.

Keep a fire extinguisher in sight just in case of firework or BBQ malfunction.

Set off fireworks in areas with bushes, dry grass or trees.

Pick up leftover sparklers, wrappers and paper from off the ground.

Litter. The street isn’t your garbage.

Eat Dad's monstrous grilled burgers or Mom's sweet corn on the cob.

Leave food out more than one hour. It can cause food poisoning (esp. w/ mayo and egg products).

Grill outdoors and be careful with lighter fluid.

Wear loose clothing that could get caught in the grill.
