Going green is all the rage in Hollywood these days. It’s one thing to talk about it, but these 11 celebs are actually walking the walk, teaming up with celeb-friendly orgs like Global Green USA and living everyday the green way. Check out the different ways they are showing our planet the love today, on Earth Day, and everyday!

1. Leonardo DiCaprio: The smoldering actor is also a die-hard activist. Leo is the hottest celeb on the green scene as a big supporter of the Natural Resource Defense Council and Global Green USA. He recently took home the Big Green Help Award at this year’s Kids Choice Awards. He launched an eco-activist website in 2000, which features films like his recently released Global Warning and Water Planet. The list of enviro-do’s goes on and on for Leo.
2. Cameron Diaz: The leggy actress released her own eco-documentary, Power Shift, to explore different energy sources and of course, only drives her hybrid!
3. Natalie Portman: This red carpet regular is a very strict vegetarian because in her own words, “I just really really love animals.” The petite powerhouse also recently launched a vegan shoe line, The Natalie Portman Collection.
4. Penelope Cruz: The Oscar nominee thinks everyone should drive hybrids and teamed up with other celebs to organize a fleet of hybrids to shuttle bigwigs around Hollywood during awards ceremonies.
5. Kate Hudson: This playful actress launched an eco-friendly hair care line, at reasonable prices. She teamed up with famed hair stylist, David Babaii and 10% of each product sold will go to WildAid, to protect our planet’s wildlife.
6. Jennifer Aniston: This friend dropped the big bucks (reportedly spending $15 million!) to green-up her act, taking measures like installing a reflective metal roof on her house to conserve energy. But Jen goes green in easy ways too – she only takes three-minute showers because, as she said “every two minutes in the shower uses as much water as a person in Africa uses for everything in their life for a whole day.
7. Brad Pitt: Aniston’s former flame teamed up with Global Green USA and his own Make it Right Foundation to complete sustainable green housing in Katrina-ravaged neighborhoods in New Orleans.
8. John Mayer: This soulful crooner partnered with the nonprofit environmental group Reverb to brand his tour AKOG (Another Kind of Green) – his green efforts included biodiesel buses and eco-friendly concert merch and an eco-village for the fans.
9. Jake Gyllenhaal: In March, this hunk (and Reese’s main squeeze) teamed up with the folks at Global Green USA to launch a “National Green Schools” initiative – he even helped Los Angeles high school students clean up their garden.
10. George Clooney: George is all about his wheels, but no gas-guzzling sports cars for him, he's all about the sustainable transport. He’s been zipping around in an electric car for years and has since added another electric ride to his fleet.
11. Matt Damon: Maybe he was swayed by his Ocean’s co-star because Matt bought a hybrid a few years ago. Then, he got really serious about living the green life. He co-founded the H20 Project to raise money and awareness on the need for clean drinking water and the importance of conserving water around the world.

Yup, that's Jake Gyllenhaal bundled up with Salma Hayek on a Global Green trip to the Arctic Circle to raise awareness about the plight of the Inuit people, whose way of life is threatened by snowmelt said to be caused by global warming. Now that's commitment to the cause!
