Airing tonight on ABC’s Nightline is a special documentary on Ben Affleck’s journey to the Congo as he tries to raise awareness of the devastating condition the country is currently in.
According to the International Rescue Committee, over four million have died in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as a result of the decade-long war involving many African states. The DRC conflict has been recorded as the deadliest war in Africa’s history and is also one of the most brutal conflict zones for females in recent history. Throughout the clash, women have been abducted, raped, sexually assaulted, and attacked.
Ben Affleck (who has traveled to the country three times in the last eight months, according to People) speaks out for the DRC in the segment, “Congo is in terrible shape. What’s going on here in this country is humanitarian disaster.”
The documentary captures and records all as Affleck meets with conflict survivors, aid workers, and even warlords.
Make sure to check it out, it should be very eye-opening!

ben affleck is such a hottie. im totally going to watch this tonight!
It's cool how Ben is so active now. He used to just be a party animal. I love how he seems so dedicated now.
It's amazing how an experience like Ben's can change your life. 3 trips to the congo in the past 8 months? That's so great. It shows how powerful the issue really is if it keeps bringing you back to help.
If scientists could figure out how to make Ben Affleck's head into farmable land, we could solve world hunger. It's a proven fact.
