This week the U.S. has "officially" launched into a recession. Eek! And sometimes even stars feel the crunch. Well, maybe not so much, but still everyone's being hit in some way. Between cutting budgets, less jobs, and more, we're in for the long haul.

We caught up with the divine Miss Amy Adams at the Gotham Awards this week to see what stars are doing in response. "I think it’s a pervasive feeling and it’s not one of belt tightening," she tells CGG. "It’s one of simplifying, and I definitely feel that."

We like that idea. Simplify! Any tips, Amy?

"Cook at home," she says. "That tends to be my number one way that I simplify. I bring my friends over and it always feels good to make a homemade meal. And it’s healthier too."
