World Refugee Day isn’t until June 20th but Angelina Jolie is already prepared with a new PSA to draw attention to the plight of millions of people worldwide. The UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador herself is here to tell us to look and listen to them.

This year’s World Refugee Day will have the theme: "Real People, Real Needs." The theme is a reminder that even though the entire world is suffering from the economic crisis, we can’t forget about those who need our help most. Most refugees are without even the basic necessities like food and water and are living in dangerous, conflict zones.

You can help by screening Ben Affleck’s four-minute doc called “Gimme Shelter” at your school. His mini-doc is all about refugees in the DRC. You can also host a World Refugee Day in your community and help educate your peers about current refugee crisis areas like Afghanistan, eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and Chad.
