A-list celebrities from the UK are speaking out against the bloodshed and violence in Gaza. On behalf of Amnesty International, the “Artists Speak Out” video features Annie Lennox, Thandie Newton, Terry Jones, Jason Flemyng from Benjamin Button, filmmaker Mike Figgis, and designer Katharine Hamnett.

These artists show their support of Amnesty’s efforts in fighting for peace for both the Palestinians and Israelis. They also call for the British Government to take a stand and to pressure Israel to lift the blockade on Gaza.

The ceasefires, while unstable, have created a space for humanitarian relief to enter into the countries. This horrendous tragedy has taken 1,300 Palestinian lives in December alone. Hundreds of thousands are still in need of aid.
