Ashley Bush FEEDs America

Ashley Bushvia FEED

The new bag every star is dying to have; the new Birkin bag, is made out of burlap and can be purchased at Whole Foods? That’s right! You’ve all seen the latest in grocery tote fashion—the FEED bags designed by model and activist Lauren Bush. But did you know that her little sis Ashley Bush is breaking new FEED ground?

While Lauren’s FEED initiatives sent food around the world, Ashley is keeping it local. She was so inspired by traveling the world with her sister and seeing the World Food Program's initiatives that she has started her own network of FEED organizations across America. She told CGG that "When I visited a school in Rwanda with my sister, I held a 7 year old child, cradled him in my arms, like he was an infant. It was amazing to see, firsthand, coming from our lifestyles, that people in the world do live like this." The extremity of the malnourishment was shocking and she sprung into action.

Immediately upon her arrival back to the USA, she started this new FEED organization to address the issue. Their mission is to fight hunger, and promote and raise awareness about the issue in our own country. CGG was hungry for some more FEED action and we are getting it. They have raised funds and awareness through hosting hunger banquets, and are excited to expand into different states. So don't fret, FEED's got much more to FEED you!

Check out Ashley's new website here. Ashley told CGG that "this website will work like a ZAGAT for soup kitchens. It will connect people to soup kitchens that actually need help because a lot of kids that volunteer at well-known soup kitchens say that the kitchens do not need more volunteers." What a fantastic way to ensure ALL soup kitchens get the assistance they need to FEED their communities!
