ASPCA gives Katherine Heigl an A+

Last night at the ASPCA Bergh Ball held in New York City, Katherine Heigl was honored with a Presidential Service Award for her efforts in promoting animal rights and raising awareness about animal rescue efforts. Designer Isaac Mizrahi was also in attendance.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is a not-for-profit organization that has been championing the belief that animals deserve kind, respectful treatment and protection under the law since 1866.
Heigl said, “It feels amazing. I’m actually really surprised, but just so grateful that they’re honoring me this way.” The actress herself has 4 dogs, and has been a long-time supporter of fighting for the welfare of animals, along with advocating pet adoption. Join her in celebrating our furry friends by spreading the word and volunteering at a shelter today!
