This year the "go to" Halloween party was Bette Midler's Hulaween Ball at the Waldorf Astoria. The fourteenth annual celebration raises money for the New York Restoration Project founded in 1995 with the mission of greening and cleaning economically disadvantaged neighborhoods in New York City. Their programs include rescuing urban gardens, trash removal, and environmental education projects for at-risk youth. The gala is always a star-studded event, and this year was no exception. Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine performed, and Kathy Griffin served as master of ceremonies. And of course, Michael Kors was the costume judge, with this year's winner going to a Mona Lisa costume.

If you didn't make the guest list, an auction on charitybuzz.com grants the highest bidders a piece of the action. Items include a lunch with Hugh Jackman, a jetBlue flight with America Fererra, a pre-concert meet-up with Pink, and two tickets to see Oscar de La Hoya vs. Pacquaio. These are just some of the many lots listed. Check them all on charitybuzz.com!

And be sure to also learn ways you can help recycle and save the environment in your own communities as well!
