Beyoncé swept through New York this week on her “I AM…” tour and made a pit stop for hunger. She attended a press conference Monday for Feeding America’s latest campaign “Show Your Helping Hand.”

The iconic performer has agreed to be the face of Feeding America’s joint effort with Hamburger Helper. Her very own Survivor Foundation is working with “Show Your Helping Hand”—the campaign that seeks national hunger relief. Their goal is to deliver more than 3.5 million meals to local food banks.

One in eight Americans struggles with hunger and more than 12 million children don't always have enough to eat — and during the summer months, when children lose access to school meal programs, the problem gets even worse.

Check when Beyoncé is rolling through your hometown to help her cause! She is encouraging her fans to bring non-perishable items to her upcoming concert dates, where they'll be collected to feed the nation's hungry.
