Black Eyed Peas share the love

The Boys & Girls Club in Redwood City, California got quite the makeover by the one and only Black Eyed Peas this summer. The Black Eyed Peas Foundation and the Adobe Foundation have teamed up to bring art education to the children. Yesterday, they unveiled the first of two new state-of-the-art music and multi-media academies!

The outspoken, off the charts band has embarked on this project to give youth access to the equipment and teaching needed to excel in the arts. The kids at these academies will be encouraged to use digital media to comment on critical issues and inspire social activism and change in their communities--just like the band’s very own “Where is the Love” video and will.i.am’s tribute to President Obama.

The point of the "Peapod Adobe Youth Voices Academy" extends far beyond the arts. They also hope to help troubled teens stay in school and off the streets. You can help underprivileged kids go back to school this summer by giving to DS 101! Help out the 13 million children in the US who live in poverty.
