Bon Jovi cleans up

via MLB.com

Talk about team spirit, after Saturday’s crammed and crazy Central Park Bon Jovi concert, over 150,000 plastic bottles and aluminum cans scattered the Great Lawn and 100 volunteers spent the next day collecting the recyclables. What a way to give back!

50,000 fans sang their hearts out along to the sound of their favorite New Jersey rocker to classics like "Living on a prayer," "It's my Life," and "Runaway".

The MLB collaborated with the Natural Resources Defense Council in the effort. They placed recycling bins all around the park's Great Lawn and dispatched volunteers among the revelers to collect the containers.

50,000 fans sang their hearts out along to the sound of their favorite New Jersey rocker. NYC officials handed out 60,000 tickets to the free gig, which commenced last night’s MLB All-Star game at Yankee Stadium. The game marked the final season at the House that Ruth built.
