Boys Like Girls like change
Touring across the US with The Bamboozle Roadshow 2010 didn't stop Boys Like Girls from making time for DoSomething.org. CGG sat down with Martin Johnson and Paul DiGiovanni last week to discuss how fame and touring life hasn't stopped them from making a difference.
First we asked each guy why music education is important to have in schools.
We also talked to Martin about his band's involvement in suicide prevention. Boys Like Girls will soon have the lyrics to their song "Go" featured on the back of t-shirts for the suicide prevention website I Am Alive. We asked the singer what young people could do to take action against this common struggle.
"Sometimes it can be as simple as talking to someone," encouraged Martin. This guy and DoSomething are definitely on the same page about the power of conversation.
As we finished up, we couldn't leave without giving the guys some gifts: Thumb Socks! As you can see from the pic, the guys burst into excitement when they saw our product that prevents texting while driving.
"These are so cool," they kept saying. Martin even pledged to give some to his friends and to put our bumper sticker on the back of the tour bus.
After getting off the bus, CGG stopped by The Bamboozle Roadshow sponsor Coca-Cola's “Swelter Stopper” dome (our writers can't resist free soda). The pic below shows the cooling station where Coke provided a sampling bar, interactive games, a DJ and a photo section.

Did we mention that this interview and dome-visit all took place at Six Flags Great Adventure? We rode El Toro after that. Twice.
