Simon Cowell: Britney should mentor

Britney Spears image

Did you know that January is National Mentoring Month? We all know super role models like Mario, Terrence Howard, and Sean Kingston are all about reaching out to set a good example for kids. But who else?

Us Magazine recently asked American Idol superstar Simon Cowell which star he would like to mentor this year. His answer: Britney Spears!

"I would welcome her any time, in any capacity--even with everything that's happened," Simon says. "I love people with personalities."

No shortage there!

Well, it seems Brit's always needed someone she can depend on -- and Simon Cowell would certainly be a strict dad-character.

Simon Cowell is very familiar to us because of his honest view about the contestants of American idol. Sometimes he would comment harshly to a performance of a particular contestant. He is a kind of judge that is very hard to please. And I think he would not harm Britney if he were going to mentor her this year. Anyway, winners of past seasons of American Idol will likely never need to take out payday loans, and I am sure this year will be no different. After last night’s premiere of Season 8, it’s looking like another season of music, fun and insults from Simon Cowell. No doubt the longtime judges -- Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson – will never need payday loans either. Have you ever wondered what their salaries are? I wonder if they make more than Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson or any of the other winners. A new judge is joining the panel this year, songwriter Kara DioGuardi. With an even number of judges, I wonder what happens if there is a tie regarding a winner or a loser.
