The butterfly effect: Hollywood edition

via ReelMovieNews & The Insider

Celebs-gone-good from every corner of the entertainment industry are gathering today to make a change. Butterfly effect? Perhaps! Princeton University defines “butterfly effect” as a phenomenon in which a small change in one place can have large effects elsewhere. So what’s happening on June 5 that’s so darn good that it will make a change elsewhere?

It’s Chrysalis’ 9th Annual Butterfly Ball! Chrysalis is a nonprofit group that links job opportunities with individuals who face homelessness and economic struggle. This year, the event’s honorees are the creator of Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane, as well as Ryan Murphy (creator of Glee) and Brett Ratner (director of Rush Hour). Chrysalis' celeb supporters also include Salma Hayek, Jackie Chan, Ice Cube, and more, with Randy Jackson and Mila Kunis as this year’s event hosts.

What can you do to get involved? Whether or not you’re a Gleek, you can follow in the footsteps of the talented cast (who will be putting on a special performance at the Butterfly Ball!) and raise your voice about the cause.
