Ok, ok, we know it's hot outside, but that didn't stop Carrie Underwood from scoring the only run for her team, Grand Ole Opry Live, in June 4th's Celebrity Softball Challenge in Nashville. She went up against Blair Garner and the AfterMidNight team, ultimately losing 8-1. Proceeds from the game benefited City of Hope, a cancer research and treatment center based in California.

gotta say- i definitely love the celebs that donate their time instead of just writing a check. i meant yeah, they give a lot of money, but come on- they HAVE a lot of money. they only have as much time as the rest of us, even less so, and it's so awesome when they put it to good use.
