Carrie Underwood disses celebs who endorse

via Reuters
It seems Carrie Underwood is no fan of Jay-Z, Wyclef, nor Bruce Springsteen. She recently told TV Guide, "I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate." While Carrie does support a candidate, she refuses to make it public.
"It's saying that the American public isn't smart enough to make their own decisions," she says. "I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to. Music is where you go to get away from all the BS. Whether it's from politics or just the world around you, music should be an escape."
What do you think? Is Carrie right in keeping her vote private? Do celeb endorsements make you want to hurl too? Let us know!

I think Carrie has a point she doesn't HAVE to write songs and stuff about it, it's ok to keep some things private. But I do think it's cool for celebs to tell us who they support. as long as she votes!
Well, I don't care for her saying that anyone, celeb or not shouldn't voice their opinion - it's their right to do so. It's also the right of dumb people to not to make their own decisions. She's an outspoken vegetarian, maybe she shouldn't talk about that either. Last time I checked, we still have freedom of speech (one of the few rights we still have). How about that?
How is this doing good? I call this doing bad. Celebs have really made a difference in getting out the youth vote this election. Shame on her for trying to silence them. Music and politics are intertwined. And politics sure ain't BS.
If anything, her saying this implies that the public isn't smart enough to form their own opinions about politics; that they just support a particular candidate because celebs do, and I don't think that's true at all.
