With New York fashion week around the corner, celebs are surely prepping for their appearances in the front rows of the hottest shows. But as a prelude to fashion week, stars will be getting together on the West Coast to participate in a stylin’ charity fashion show!

Every year in Los Angeles, celebs get together to strut their stuff and raise awareness for the National Animal Rescue at the "Celebrity Catwalk!"  This year, “Girls Next Door” star Bridget Marquardt will be hosting the event, and honorees will include Kimora Lee Simmons and "America’s Next Top Model" star Nigel Barker. 

Proceeds from the "Celebrity Catwalk" will be donated to Noah’s Ark and Almost Home Rescue, both of which help rescue, protect, and find homes for the 6-8 million stray, abused, and neglected cats and dogs that enter shelters each year.

With celebs including Nicole Richie and Jamie Foxx slated to attend the event, it’s sure to get a lot of publicity! There are a lot of cool things that you can do to raise awareness and funds to provide stray animals with safe homes. Make sure to check out some terms about animal welfare and animal cruelty. Then try writing a letter to an elected official or starting up a project to raise awareness about animal welfare!
