Celebs run for good

via NY Road Runners
Would you go 26.2 miles for your cause? This weekend some celebs did just that, running the New York City Marathon to raise money for their cause. The Incredible Hulk star Edward Norton, singer Alanis Morrisette, and X Games host Sal Maseleka are some of the big names who hit the pavement and raised some cash. Ed and Alanis raised over $300,00 for the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, which protects habitat and wildlife in Kenya, while Sal raised over $70,000 for his org, Stoked, which mentors at-risk and disadvantaged youth through sports like surfing and skateboarding. As Sal exclusively tells CGG, “running the NYC Marathon was the biggest slice of humble pie I’ve ever eaten!”
We love the idea of celebs breaking a sweat for their favorite cause. What’s yours? Whether it’s the environment or healthy living, we have the info you need to take action! And be sure to check out the websites of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust and Stoked for full post-run recaps.
