CGG recently clued you in to some CGG exclusive interviews we caught while covering Z100's Jingle Ball 2008. Now take a look behind the scenes and see what these Stand Up to Cancer supporters said about everything from food to Obama!
Sporting a fabulous new brunette 'do, Ashley Tisdale says she now feels "back to myself." "I'm originally a brunette," she reveals, "...being blonde was so much fun, but I feel like Sharpay (from High School Musical) owned the blonde more, rather than Ashley. So this is exciting."
Ashley continues to give us a sneak peak into what we can expect from her upcoming album expected to release this Spring, "It's a lot more rock, and it's definitely edgier, more mature. It's completely different from the first one. It's so fun." Can't wait to check out the new CD, Ashley!
Lady Gaga via CGG
Looking tres fabuleux, as always, Lady Gaga and Brandy let us in on their favorite healthy snacks. Lady Gaga says "chicken and humus" are what she chows down on guilt-free, while Brandy totes around "Mojo bars. That's a really good one and I eat those all the time. I get them from Whole Foods; they're organic."
In terms of any specific diet regimen Brandy follows, the songstress says, "There is not a diet that I follow, but I don't overindulge, and I play a lot of tennis when I have the time." Looks like we'll be following cue at hitting the courts after this holiday season!
Next up was John Joseph Vesely from Secondhand Serenade, who, when asked if he was doing anything to cut back during our current recession, tells CGG "You know what, no. I think it's been a really good year for us, and I've been working really hard and we've been getting a lot of breaks.... So we're doing ok right now." Good to see at least some of us aren't feeling the effects of the economy! Even Ne-Yo himself gave us a similiar answer, "No. No. I wish there was more I could put on that, but no."

But Ne-Yo did have more to say about his hopeful plans for Obama's inauguration, "I'd like to be there. I don't know if my schedule is going to permit that, I'm not sure. If I can, I will be there. That would be good."
We also hit up Jesse McCartney before his performance, who sure knows the true meaning of the holiday season. His plans for giving back over the holidays? "I'm working a lot with the Make A Wish Foundation. I've always been a big supporter of them. And I don't know if you guys are familiar with Heifer International. But for the first time I actually did a little bit of research. I've never done it before, but I think I'm going to do it this year. So you donate an animal, and in many ways that animal gives back to the family. So I'm looking forward to that because I've never done it before." Aww, could you imagine waking up on Christmas morning to a brand new furry friend given to you by Jesse himself?!
John from Secondhand Serenade also has his own plans for holiday giving. He plans to do "as much as I can. I actually have a couple weeks off, which I haven't had in over a year. So definitely we'll just do some volunteering when we go back to LA. We did a lot last year so we'll definitely do whatever we can (this year.)"
Lastly, we asked celebs to give us any tips they had for all you future music artists of the world. Lady Gaga tells CGG, "The first thing I would say is being an artist is being private in public. So the first thing you got to do is play every venue in site, whether there are five people in the audience, or 5,000. It's very important to get your art out there. You have to really humiliate yourself and fall on the floor to really figure out who you are and the kind of art that you want to make. It took me eight years. Eight solid years of pining and pining, and bleeding, and sweating, and scraping away the marrow in my bones for the right sound. And I finially found it. It's like giving birth." Phew! Talk about dedication!!
David Archuleta also gives all you future American Idol's some tips as well, "Just enjoy every moment of it because you'll never know how long it'll last....I certainly wasn't expecting going as long as I did, but it was really cool. You just have to keep a good attitude about it, because if you focus on the stressful things, there are plenty of things to stress about, but there are also a lot of great things you can focus on."
And there you have it! Everything you need to know from all your favorite Jingle Ball stars. But wait! There's more!!! Stay tuned for more exclusive CGG interviews with Brody Jenner and Twilight's Peter Facinelli!
