We caught up with rapper Lil Mama on the red carpet of the DS Awards last week. The Harlem native was excited to be back in her home town to honor the finalists at the Apollo.

Lil Mama helped Do Something rock the vote this year as it was her first time fulfilling her civic duty this year as well. She loved her first voting experience, “it was amazing!” She turned up to support Do Something and was excited to see the finalists and Akon’s performance.
