Christina Applegate and Ellen go pink!

These two have really stepped up in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month!

Actress and breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate teamed up with Alex Woo to create a stylish new pendant necklace to raise money for her Right Action for Women. Proceeds from the necklace will help women at high risk for breast cancer get the screenings and testing they need.

Ellen Degeneres is joining in on the fun as well! For the month of October, she will be talking to celebs and other guests who have either had breast cancer, or have had a family member with it. She also asks viewers to send in their stories.

Ellen recently wrote to April, a woman who just lost her mother (and big fan of Ellen’s) to breast cancer. She writes, “April, it means so much to me that your mom loved the show. She sounds like she was an amazing woman with incredibly good taste. Please send my condolences to your family. This month, my show is committed to raising money for breast cancer research. With hope, soon we will have a cure!”
