George Clooney is the beauty and the brains behind tonight's operation, the huge "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief" telethon, which will air on MTV, VH1 and all major TV networks tonight. The Up in the Air star brought tons of Hollywood A-listers together with musi cmoguls to raise funds for the earthquake-ravaged nation.
Who can you expect to see when you tune in at 8pm tonight? Well, to name a few...
Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jon Stewart, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Wyclef Jean, and CNN's Anderson Cooper (reporting from Haiti). Um...can you say star power?!
The celebs will be answering phones to achieve Clooney's goal to "raise money, period. That's it. ... Just first and foremost that we can raise a lot of money. If I thought that we could all pick up shovels and go in there and not be in the way, I think a lot of people would do that."
You can join in (and chat with the stars) tonight by calling 1-877-99-HAITI and find out more ways to help Haiti.
