It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it's superwoman: Michelle Obama! Michelle is the most popular First Lady in thirty years, and she has only been in the White House for a month. And The New York Times has the numbers to prove to it!

Voters who took the poll this past month showed Michelle some love. 49% said they viewed her favorably, only 5% said they viewed her unfavorably, and 44% said they were undecided. But CGG is pretty sure they are bound to come around.

She is the most liked first lady since Nancy Reagan and much more popular than her predecessors. The Obamas certainly liven up the White House after years and years of the same two families. Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush definitely did not get the star treatment Michelle is receiving. We are barely into March and already Michelle is one of the most photographed women of the year.

Many media outlets claim her popularity is due to her warmer personality and relatability. Not only is she Ivy League educated and has dealt with the stress of a full time job in a law firm, but she also comes from humble beginnings and has taken time to be a stay at home mom. Some speculate that her perfect marriage to President Obama and ability to balance her family and her work will help give people hope for dealing with the tough economic times.

Like Jackie Kennedy, Michelle is known for her killer style. The trend setting mommy has been on the cover of nearly every magazine even though she claims she is not a fashionista. She is even influencing some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
