New Do Something PSA Alert! Death Cab for Cutie
Has music ever changed your life? Of course it has. And now indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie are teaming up with DoSomething.org and the Grammy Foundation to help you use music to change the lives of others. Check are bassist Nick Harmer spill the deets above!
The kings of emo are promoting Key Change grants to help your music-related project get off the ground. The top five winners will receive $3000 and a trip to the Grammys. And 20 more winners will receive $500 grants.
To help you get inspired check out some of the music projects that have already been submitted. Whether it's a Jam for Darfur, Tunes 4 the Troops, or Sounds into Syllables, which works which kids with autism, there is no mistaking that music can change the world. So plug in your iPod, bust out your sheet music, or flip the switch on your boombox, and start the juices flowing with your favorite tune. You're only a hop, skip, and a jump away from a trip to see all your favorite artists at the Grammys!

Wow thats a lot of grant money! I'm so glad to see grants geared toward music education, as music is often one of the first things to get cut in schools when budgets aren't passed. I can't wait to see the projects!
